There must be a way to q/d the bags off the plate. Those rivets are clever locking things but if you mounted one bag onto a thinner rigid sub-plate using them, you could then find any way you like to mount your sub-plate to the main plate - say a channel at the bottom to take the weight and then whatever you like on top - lockable or otherwise.]]></description>

For the bags themselves, do you think they could be modified so they could easily come off the plates? I like the idea of being able to leave some of the bags on the bike when camping, just removing the one with the bits and pieces I want in my tent.]]></description>
